Today's most significant barrier to digital transformation isn't budget or technology; it is the time required to implement the change and understand how to move beyond manual processes and legacy systems.

No-code technology is driving major changes in software development. With no-code, leaders and teams can shift towards more efficient, cost-effective business tools powered by digital technology.

What is No-Code?

As creating things on the internet becomes more accessible, more people will become makers. It’s no longer limited to the <1% of engineers that can code, resulting in an explosion of ideas from all kinds of people.”Ryan Hoover, Founder of Product Hunt

No-Code technology is a term that has become popular over the last few years. It describes software that is easy enough for non-programmers to use. No-code software are platforms that allow anyone to create without writing a single line of code.

You may not know this, but some tools you’ve been using for years are no-code – website builders like WordPress and Shopify, CRM tools with Salesforce and MailChimp, and even productivity tools like Excel and Google Sheets.

The incredible evolution of no-code technologies mean non-technical creators can bring their ideas to life without hiring developers.

Why is no-code important to my business?

Automate Business Processes

~50% of current work activities are technically automatable by adapting currently demonstrated technologies. - McKinsey

The first time you read the title of this section, you probably thought, "No way. No one can automate business processes without code." And you're right, on some level.

However, there are tools available that allow you to automate processes electronically without writing a single line of code. Whether it's for automating your social media or your customer service chatbot, these tools can help you free up time and focus on the more important things.

Manage Workflows

By 2024, organizations will lower operational costs by 30% by combining hyperautomation technologies with redesigned operational processes. - Gartner

Workflow management lets you create repeatable processes that can be executed manually or by software. As a result, you can build an automated routine for your business, reducing the likelihood of a human error and saving yourself time and effort.

Over the past few years, workflow automation has become increasingly popular with the boom of the "Internet of things" and connected devices. Workflow software solutions offer a rich portfolio of integrations allowing you to interconnect the tools your business uses daily.

Launch an Idea

The speed of application development using low-code/no-code platforms is, up to 10 times faster than traditional development methods - Forrester

With No-code technology platforms, anyone can build customer-facing apps without writing a line of code, providing them with everything from data collection tools to analytics and dashboard reports.

This removes the technological hurdle of launching a product or service ensuring a timely product launch.

Our favorite no-code tools

Airtable

Plenty of cloud-based tools allow you to create databases, but Airtable takes the concept to the next level. It functions more like Excel than a traditional database and is designed with collaboration in mind. The platform is built around a simple idea: you can create a data table in one section and then add separate sets of data creating relationships between different types of information. Each row in a table can be linked to multiple columns, and all data is searchable. Airtable makes it easy to keep track of your contacts, projects, and everything else you need.

Notion

Notion is a task management tool that allows you to set up your projects in the form of "notes". The neat thing about Notion is that it's available on all devices, and the notes are synced across all devices. You can use Notion to develop ideas, create to-do lists, brainstorm, set reminders, and collaborate with others. It's great for people who work in teams or with external stakeholders. Notion has quickly become one of my favorite apps because you can adapt it to any work process and track team progress.

Glide

Glide is a visual app builder that lets non-developers create native iOS and Android apps without writing a single line of code. With GlideApp, users can quickly and easily build native iOS and Android apps with the same capabilities as if programmers created them.

GlideApp allows you to create your app using predefined templates or design your own from scratch using its powerful visual editor. In addition, you can use the drag-and-drop interface to enhance the UX/UI of your app and add images, videos, text, buttons, maps, social media sharing icons.

To wrap things up

Robust organizational processes free up time to focus on better customer service and growth. Adopting automation technologies is an ongoing process that requires planning, resources and expertise to ensure its success.

As no-code platforms continue to grow in popularity, more businesses will likely take advantage of their benefits in their digital transformation efforts.

So why not explore how these tools can help your business grow faster and run better?
